In Progress – Faster! 03.06.2009
Last weekend I was tapped to shoot production stills on the set of Marie Ullrich’s short film Faster!, which began principal photography on Saturday. I shot both Saturday and Sunday – both for press and promo and for behind the scenes and portfolio.
Faster! is a short film about a particularly rough day in the life of a female Chicago bike messenger (played by Jenny Strubin) and how the hardships of her life interweave with those of her job. It was interesting for me to be on set for a fictional version of something that I’ve watched friends, roommates and girlfriends actually live through, and I was both impressed and encouraged by the level of detail and accuracy in both the dialog and costuming. Rene Cudal, of 4 Star Courier, was serving as a technical adviser (and has a cameo in the film), which I’m sure helped nail the details.
