Delivery – The 2008 NACCC Portrait Book

So I’ve been talking about it for a while, but I finally finished and sent off to print my collection of portraits from the 2008 NACCC. I’m publishing it through Blurb, a print on demand service for photographic and other kinds of books.
The book is 100 pages, available in softcover or as a image-wrapping hardcover. I had [...]

(more) cog anniversary party + book launch

Andy Golding has some really nice photos up from the COG Anniversary Party and Book Launch over on his flickr page. I shot a little that night, but had been so pre-occupied with actually getting stuff set up and then talking with people that I didn’t get much that was worth anything. So I’m glad he was [...]

Chicago Bike Winter Art Show

So some of my prints from the COG show have been moved over to the Flat Iron Building (1579 N Milwaukee – 3rd Floor) to be included in the last week of the Bike Winter Art Show. I’ve got 14 pieces up, all of which are for sale. Additionally I’ve donated three pieces for the silent [...]

COG Anniversary Party + Book Launch

Saturday, February 21, 2009 from 3:00pm – 11:00pm at Av-Aerie (2000 W. Fulton).

I’ll also be displaying work at this – a bunch of stuff from the magazine as well as pieces that haven’t been seen before. Additionally there’s a Chrome Aces retrospective happening, which I’m part of, since I shot the Chicago portion of that. It’s one [...]

web tear sheets vol 4 – chicago

It’s a banner day for my flickr account. From my recent series of bathroom graffiti photos featured on The Windy Citizen. What’s extra weird is that there’s also a photo in that article by my friend Kit, who doesn’t even live in Chicago anymore.

Photo of mine pulled from my flickr feed popped up in the Minneapolis City Pages. Not really sure about the headline though.

COG Photo Annual

I just got my copy and it’s pretty much blowing my mind. Really happy with my work that’s in it as well and really inspired to see so many other photographers stuff. Really makes me want to step up my game. Inspiring. Go Buy A Copy

iPhone Enabled Portfolio

So I’ve been doing my main site portfolio in flash for a while now, which works wonderfully and looks lovely, but doesn’t work on an iPhone and most other mobile devices, ’cause flash doesn’t work in the iPhone’s browser yet.
This has also kind of annoyed me, but thanks to a nice Lightroom plugin by Matthew Campagna [...]

Stuporbowl 2009

Went up to Minneapolis last weekend for the 2009 Stuporbowl alleycat race. Third time I’ve done this race – I missed last years. Rode up in the Cuttin’ Cruiser, which broke down for a few hours in the middle of nowhere at 2am in Minnesota. Could have turned into an ugly situation – but we [...]

COG Issue 5 + COG Photo Annual

I have a few pages in the new issue of COG, which I just picked up in Minneapolis this weekend, featuring two pages of my portraits from the 2008 NACCC Chicago (also on display at the Goldstar Bar here in Chicago and being released as a book this month), as well as other photos of mine from [...]
